This is a mount assembly for most speakers out there using a 1/4-20 inch screw. This sized screw will fit most speakers out there. I never knew they were imperial threads, but hey if you just can't get this M6 screw into the thing, you start searching on google.

The assembly is pretty easy, but for the mount of the "ball socket you will need M3 heat inserts.

The “mounting plate” is made for ceiling mountage, which was the preffered location for my friend, whom i made this for. If you design another plate for wall mountage you can easily use all the other parts.

I printed all the parts with PETG from Tinmorry. I would not suggest PLA, at least not for the ball, nut and the socket. The mounting plate will be fine with PLA.

The speaker can rotate in every direction up to 25° or a bit more. This should absolutely be enough for 99% of the cases.

I defined the tolerances of the thread from the nut and the socket really tight, because i wanted to test my printer and wanted to know what is possible, even if you print it more than once. Therefore i would not try to scale it down. Also the screwhole would probably not match anymore.

For printing this, your printer should be able to print reliably and the quality has to be top. Otherwise, as i said before, the tolerances will be too tight.

This whole design was not my idea from the beginning, i got inspired from thingiverse. Here is the link to this model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5429153

Have fun and leave a comment if you made some of these mounts.

Edit: I added de STEP Files for making Remixes and so. Have fun.
