In case of sufficient interest (something like 20 likes or some positive comments) i will write a detailed component and integration description. STEP file is included to figure i out yourselves ;).

I've constructed this enclosure to keep my filaments dry and dust-free, whilst still capable to auto-rewind for my MMU. I have it in use for 2 years and i am really happy with it.

The purpose was to have a neatly air-thight enclosure, for which a lot of trial prints were made to get nice labyrinth connections.

I've added all STL's, however there is a lot of know-how needed to now how to properly print this. I've added the 3MF files to give more information, howwever I will add the full set of information in case requests for this are coming through the comment sections, otherwise i will spend my time on something more usefull.

In general you require the following

  • 4x auto-rewind assy (https://www.printables.com/model/326675-click-in-autorewind-spool-holder)
  • several 2 and 3 mm plexiglas plates (dimensions and drawings upon request
  • fasterener → Details can be provided
    • Several countersunk and standard DIN 912 M3 bolts, varying ranges from 6 to 10 mm.
    • Several M3 square nuts and DIN934 and 439 nuts.
  • Tension spring to keep the doors properly opened and closed → details provided upon request
  • Several 623 and 623F bearings
  • Magnets
  • sealant kit to make everything more airtight
  • sealant tape for a more airtight seal of the door
  • Silica
  • Hygrometer
  • more may come.

Regarding the printing

  • Tolerances and print directions are to be respected, this cost me several hours and rolls to get everything spot on. 3MF files are included per sub-producted to show the best print settings
  • Files with a (2) or (3) are added. These are either for support modifiers or as MMU part. It is kind of clear what is needed.
  • Again: more information will follow in case there is more interest.
