Tiny VHS Tape

This model is basically a stitched together and scaled down version of this giant VHS tape, but with a few added details to make things work at a smaller scale. 

Assembly

Assembly is relatively straightforward, the two pieces go together with a bit of CA glue on the 4 alignment features that stick up from the bottom piece. The reels stick out the back a bit, so you'll want to support this from the edges when gluing the case together.

I used two pieces of this self-adhesive vinyl for the clear plastic pieces that allow you to see the reels inside the tape. Sticking the two pieces to each other creates this cool old/faded look that VHS tapes get when you leave it in the back of your humid attic for 25 years.

Printing

Everything here is fairly straightforward to print, and most of the parts here look good with the 0.3mm default setting in Prusaslicer. I printed the spools @ 0.1mm to capture a bit of extra detail. Shown here in Prusament Galaxy Black PLA and Marble Grey PLA.
