Large Christmas Light Bulb

I wanted to test making my own Christmas light set and these simple screw on oversized Christmas bulbs were a chance to do that. 

These are easy to print, I used vase mode, and simply screw onto a C9 bulb string light set. Just put the C9 light bulb through the base and screw it to the socket. Then screw the bulb print into the base.

I used PLA which I feel should be fine, but I would probably consider using transparent filament next time. Some of the colors, like blue, don't seem to let much light through. I will also consider spray painting the base of the bulb black to limit how much light shines through the base.
