This contains models for 2, 4, 8, and 16 ounce yarn storage bobbins and a bit you can use with a drill to wind them. No supports should be needed for any of these parts.
I've also included a Fusion 360 file so you can modify the files if you want. If you just want different size bobbins, there are parameters that control the size of the bobbins. For the bobbins I've used here were the parameter settings I used to generate them:
While I found the drill bit fits well into the bobbins, if you find it's too lose it would be easy to coat the part that goes into the center of the bobbin, with super glue and let that dry. Then sand it to fit.
If you want to support me look at the fiber tools I sell at Dreaming Robots.
UPDATE: Based on some feedback I added bobbinGroove file. This connects like the drill bit, but on the other side of the bobbin. This allows you to have a little pulley on one of the bobbin disks. One use is putting these storage bobbins on a Lazy Kate with a brake system. You can either make one of these bobbinGroove attachments and switch between bobbins, or perhaps a better solution is to make one for each bobbin and then glue it to a bobbin disk so that it never comes off.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
