This is a gadget for opening those very thin plastic bags (like cheap plastic trash bags) that always seem to be glued shut and are very annoying to get open.
To use it you need add two pieces of adhesive tape (variously known as Scotch tape, cello tape, sello tape, etc.) - width should be 3/4"/20mm. To add the tape take a strip about 1-1/2" (40mm) long and insert one end in the slot on the cylindrical part. Stick a short bit of tape to one side of the cylinder and then wrap it in the reverse direction STICKY-SIDE-OUT around the cylinder so that it sticks to itself. The idea is to create a "sticky cylinder." Do this for both cylindrical parts.
In use, simply hold the bagopener as shown in the photo, and pinch the two sticky cylinders on either side of the annoying bag - let it spring open and it will pull the bag open.
