The Lore
Original Model by ulli85 on Thingiverse - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4162760
Needed to up the brightness for my camera so I could see what I was printing better…! I have LEDs on the top bar but due to the shadows I couldn't really see what I was printing lol.
Isolated just the camera mount in MeshMixer, made a different wire cut out in TinkerCAD (Cam LED Ring Mount_C270_Big Cut). Original Wire Hole model is included (Cam LED Ring Mount_C270_Original Hole).
I removed my 3D printed focusing ring from the camera, as it got in the way, but once I set the focus I didn't really need it anyway.
Used this LED from Adafruit, USB powered directly via Pi (light is 70mm, mount is for 80mm, LED still fits by pressing it down) - https://www.adafruit.com/product/5137
LED is retina-blindingly bright, so I designed a simple diffuser in Fusion360 (file included--the .STL is sized to 87.0mm for a more precise fit versus the Fusion file which is 87.2mm when exported, just keep this in mind if you decide to change sizes for your project).
Edit (10/28/22): I also just uploaded a little slot I made for the light leak that came from the wire side. Works with the Adafruit LED wire which is approx. 3.5mm thick. File for Fusion included to edit if you need to edit the diameter of the hole.
Print Suggestions / Instructions
For the webcam mount, I printed with supports, 10% gyroid infill, eSUN PLA+ Black.
For the diffuser ring, I printed 10% infill (negligible due to size, set anything you want), eSUN PLA+ White.
