Prusa Mini Printbed Camera Mount with Cable Chain

A raspberrypi camera printbed holder/mount for the Prusa Mini!

Features:

• Fixable ball-joint for the camera (12mm M3 Screw). Friction-only designs kept getting loose.
• Easy installation to the Prusa Mini bed
• Optional cable-chain attachment

The included camera housings are for the RaspiCam V2, but I'm sure you can mix up alternative housings if needed. Just keep in Mind that the camera assembly needs to clear the Prusa Mini screen.

You need about 13x brackets for the main chain, and a ribbon cable that is at least 0.5m long.

Setup:

• Remove the bottom-corner bed screw, slide-on the mount, then put the screw back in.
• This should already hold well. You can also attach 1-2 cableties for additional security. Note: Due to bed-clearances, make sure the thick end of the cables ties are facing to the right (where the Prusa Mini screen is).
• If you are going to use the cable chain. The 90° ribbon cable bracket can be challenging. Assemble it first, pass the ribbon cable through and attach it to thee Mini's frame. Then snap the 90° bracket to the frame and almost rotate it into place. Now attach the bedarm, then rotate the 90° bracket fully to line up with the arm and connect the chain.

Print instructions

• PLA/PETG works fine
• 0.20 mm layer height
• No supports execpt for some chain brackets
• The camera enclosure backside might need it's scale increased by ~0.9% to offer a snug fit
