Description

This arena design is based on a soccer arena in Munich (Germany). This model has three parts: 1. Roof; 2. Arena (without roof); 3. Base plate.

  • 1.+2. are separated prints to reduce the required supports and to easily install the LEDs.
  • 2. has some space to include a LED stripe. I prefer 5 V to power it with a typical power bank or a mobile charging adapter.
  • 3. is only required, if you would like to install a LED stripe or to include the name of the arena (I removed the name and logo due to possible license problems ;) ).
  • All parts are printed with Creality PLA (white).

Printing parameters

  • Layer height of all 3 parts: 0.08 mm (if you are not including a text in 3. you can easily increase the layer height)
  • Supports: 1.: no; 2.: yes; 3.: yes
  • Infill: adaptive cubic; 1.: 15 %; 2.: 15 %; 3.: 10 %

Assembly

  • If you are using a LED stripe: insert the stripe (LEDs facing inside; When you are placing the LEDs facing outside, you will only have some small light spots (less diffusion) unless you have a LED stripe with just a small LED separation.)
  • I glued the LED to the outer wall of the recess. Drawback: You will get a low illumination area around the arena.
  • After installing the LED stripe. I glued 1.+2. together.
  • After the adhesive has cured, I glued (1.+2.)+3. together.

I also included the step files so that you can implement your ideas (e.g. text ;) ).
