Cyan Parrot (Minecraft)

The cyan parrot! Thanks to @Ayaron for asking about this model (there's a picture of it in another post). I put off uploading this bird since it was the most challenging of the 5 Minecraft parrots to model (i.e. I have models for the gray and red ones it's just that they also have a lot of parts). BUT it is admittedly the coolest looking one.

Printing

As always, besides parts that require color changes, all different colors print separately. Layer res of 0.2mm should work for everything. Instead of stls, I decided to include the 3mfs since those include print orientations, layer changes, and all the necessary details to print everything.

For colors, you will need quite a lot:

• Cyan - for the main body
• Yellow (use on that is closer to orange)
• Teal - for the first color change on the head
• Green - for the second color change on the head, as well as the head feather
• Dark Gray - Lower beak
• Black - Upper beak and eyes
• White - Also for the eyes
• Light Gray - Legs

Assembly

No glue required (🤮🤮🤮🤮)

But you will need to cut off drawn in supports (you shouldn't need auto supports except for the Head Yellow component).

IMPORTANT: if you are not a fan of the thru holes, I have included alternative parts that don't have thru holes for filament which are used to hold parts together that are loose, although I didn't need any due to the slightly tight clearances.

Stand

Yeah so this parrot is also the most tricky to balance, as it tends to fall forward. You have to options:

1. Print the tail with 100% infill
2. Print the optional stand

This is a lot for a such a tiny project, but designing this was a really interesting challenge in how to incorporate as much of the cyan parrot's in-game textures while still keeping all the parts easy to print.

Honestly this should be pretty straightforward but if you need a tutorial just lmk. I am thinking of uploading a few assembly tutorials in the future especially for complicated models like BTD6 Quincy and the MC Strider, but I am almost 60 years old so I will need to learn how to do that.
