Spool Holder - Low resistance top mount

Better top mount system for the Prusa MK3 or MK3S. Low resistance roller reduces resonance of the spindle rocking above your printer. Easy to replace the filament and it holds the filament spool straight! Holds 1 KG rolls perfectly. I originally designed a larger one for 2kg rolls, but the heavy spool put too much movement into the frame. This is by far the best top-mount spool holder I've seen.

My strap says "PRUSA - BUILT IN THE USA", but I've included a plate with 10 straps that say various things, including a blank if you would prefer. Open the 3mf file and print the one you like.

Edit 2020-Aug-04: Widened the spool rod by .50" to accommodate Prusa's new wider PETG spools. Added some small things to make it print better. The print is now .50" taller but 2.5 hours shorter. The last picture and the first picture are of the latest design. (And don't worry, I don't leave obsolete revisions laying around for you to accidentally download.)

You'll need two skateboard bearings (22x7) for final assembly

Print the main plate, then print the strap separately. Pick the strap you like from 10 choices, or print more than 1. There's a color change when you're printing the strap, so start with the background color.  There are spots to install some 8x3 magnets, to click the strap in place, but if you don't install the magnets it won't hurt anything.  Once the strap is in place it doesn't move.
