Phil's quick release system is so incredibly satisfying. It prints with no supports, offers a tight fit, and a locking tab.
I was searching around printables for a quick release system for a resin printer heater idea I was toying around with, and conceptually this was what I wanted. What I needed was the ability to adjust the size of the center whole for my project. I took the core concepts of Phil's design and give it the ability to be parametric. For my project I needed it to be 75mm. So The two sizes I have tested are 8.8mm (stock size) and 75mm. I will say the locking tab was the hardest part for me to make work in a parametric system. there is about 3 degrees of play past the locking zone and the tab gets pinched a bit too much to make the first initial screws in and out a bit tough, so there is plenty of opportunity for refinement here.
If you need to adjust the center hole size for your application you can adjust it in the OnShape Variable Studio section:
