I wanted to take 3D Printy amazing Bobbleheads to a Zen dimension with this model (my wife is a yoga teacher so it is great to have her all the time on my MK3S+ :)
This has a few challenges as it is an asymmetrical model with a low, not centered gravity center so not ideal for a bobblehead model. I had to do a lot of tweaks, playing a lot of with the infill front and back and redesigning a smaller spring with the right strength to fit into the model but after a lot of trials and errors the outcome is great and very fun to watch!
PRINTING
3MF files attached
the BobbleZen statue includes all the elements (negative model, modifiers, etc.)
i added the gcode for the statue if easier
you could use support if you want a very clean model for the inside holes but it also works without support
PLA is working fine of courses for all pieces
ASSEMBLY
please refer to 3D Printy bobbleheads for more explanations but it pretty straight forward
attached the spring to the base and then push it into the statue. Be careful of the orientation as the sprint attachment inside the statue which has a direction (parallel to the shoulders)
you could add glue if needed but it is already very tight (and even might require some sanding for the base depending of your printer).
there is a 6x3 magnet under the base to attach the statue to the printerhead (but also a washing machine, dryers, etc.).
