I simple adapter ring, used as a pair, that snaps on a Taulman 0.5 kg (1 lb) filament spool to allow use in the AMS. The Taulman spool is wide, so the adapter snaps on so as to be toward the inside of the spool - see the photos. There are notches to allow the ring to slip over the spool with snap tabs outward.
The rings are sized for printing with ABS and provide a snug fit to the spool. If you print with PETG, PLA, or another filament with less shrinkage, you may need to slight down-scale the rings for a snug fit or use some tape to prevent the spool turning within the rings.
NOTE: The Taulman spools, due to their width, will only work in the first or last slot of the AMS. The inner slots do not have adequate clearance for the slightly wide spool. The AMS top will close with the spool in place.
I have included the STL for printing and the Sketchup 2022 drawing for modification.
The small disc model was printed with the default Bambu Lab PA profile slowed to Silent mode as a quick test and verification. I have a custom profile set up with the Max volumetric speed set to 3 mm3/s as I find it works consistently for my models.
