IOT enabled Power metering on the go
I designed this housing to have an power meter which can be read out directly and in an existing IOT environment at the same time.
Due the fact that the sonoff devices could be flashed with the tasmota firmware i choose this device for the project.
Additional material which is needed:
Disclaimer:
This description is not a manual for electrical wiring and i highly recommend to ask an electrician for wiring if you are not familiar with electric tasks. I am not responsible if you get an electrical shock or your house will catch fire due a overheating.
Printing hints:
The lid has an extra thin space to see the status LED underneath, if you use an transparent material. You can also slice in two color mode the lid with transparent material first. In 0.2mm layer height you had to set the first three for the transparent material.
The body should have supports for the nut containing part of the cable glant.
I used filamentum CPE HG 100 which has besides the good impact resistance good properties for use in electrical and electronic equipment
Put it together:
After printing you had to melt in the inserts and mount the cable glant. Mount the shipped clamp like shown on the picture to set the device in the middle. The mounting holes are out of the middle if you wonder about it.
