Lever of telescopic seatpost

my acquaintance bought lever for ⌀18 mm handlebars (set with seatpost) from one manufacturer and he cannot find a lever for ⌀32 mm handlebars from the same manufacturer. he afraid that if he buy lever for ⌀32mm handlebars from another manufacturer it will not be compatible wiht his seatpost.
