Printed in ABS, works great so far. Nice to not have one leg always falling open. Thank you.

Replaced 4 broken springs on my workbench. Work perfect, thanks!

Excellent replacement. I used Overture PETG with 3 perimeters, 15% infill and it seems to be holding up alright so far.

These fixed the legs on my grandad's old workmate so now it's easy to put up and down. Thanks for sharing!

Printed in PLA at 0.4mm layer height, if they break I might go with a finer height and PETG

4,5 out of 5 = ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My Workmate had all four springs broken when I got it… so I was very happy to find this model! It's precise in dimensions and locks the leg in both position. My remix has the reinforcements modeled in a shape that needs no support in printing. Thanks for the good work!

Great! Did not expect and found this thing by accident here, but the broken mechanism of my Workmate annoyed me for a long time.
Did not try it out yet, but thanks in advance!

I had problems with one leg on my make and I think it was because my frame may be slightly bent. Here I printed with TPU at 15% and added a diagonal support via Prusa Slicer to keep it from deforming too much as the leg moves from closed to open. The TPU is much quieter than the PETG ones I printed, so I printed all four in TPU.

Printed on PETG with 20% infill. The fit was good for me. I had been living with this workmate for years with one floppy leg that made it a pain to move the workmate to set it up. Upon inspection, all my springs had broken, but 3 worked well enough. I printed a set of 4 and everything went well until the 4th one snapped. None of the others snapped yet, so probably just a bad print. Trying another set of 4 at 100% infill to see if that is better.

Thanks for the design and it looks like this is going to work well, where I will want to keep this workmate for many more years.

Updated 2023-02-21 - 100% infill of PETG was a bad idea. All 4 shattered as I tried to replace the one leg. Looks like that one leg bracket is slightly bent out of alignment and that is the cause. The other three legs are still working fine with the 20% infill PETG. (edited)

Well designed and fits well. Printed in PLA at 101% scale (5 walls, 50% infill). Those workmate legs now snap into place just like old times. Top marks! Thank-you!
