Our metal baby gate doesn't like to stay against the wall and as such it tends to swing outwards a bit. So I designed this clip to screw to the baseboard and hold the gate open. The clip opening is for 1/2" round bar and the base accommodates two #6 countersunk screws.

How I Designed This ===================

Design

I used SketchUp Make to design this part. I left clearance for the bar to fit securely but not too tightly. The arms are left thin enough to flex.
