My son's motocross toy lost one of its handlebars, so I figured it would be a nice exercise for me to try and recreate it from scratch. This is the toy in question: https://playmobil.fandom.com/wiki/9357_Motocross_Driver
The measurements in the SCAD file where all done using calipers and test fitted as shown in the image above. In the print shown in the image, the handlebars are a tiny bit too far from the arms of the figure, but I've made a slight correction in the attached STL.
I used PLA and 0.1 detail print with supports, which took about an hour and minimal material. The supports are a bit annoying, but I couldn't figure out how best to turn it to minimize overhangs. I guess easiest thing to do would be to cut the model into several parts (eg remove handlebars and insert/glue them later), but maybe someone else can figure out other ways of supportless printing.
One thing to note is that PLA is quite brittle for such small parts, but on the other hand you can always try different materials or simply print it again if it ever breaks.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
