Regreasing the linear rails on my printers is a frequent task, and with the many rails that don't have working grease-holes, it's a bit awkward to get grease into the raceways without taking the cart off.
I have established a routine to press grease in from the backside through a bore in the rail. The bore-holes are 3.5mm, and I press a syringe to the hole and squeeze until the grease is visible between the balls.
This video shows the application method. It gets even easier with this nozzle, It's 3mm at the tip and sits snug against the bore of the rail.
