Modeled after the NSX-R, Type-S shift knob.
There are several variations on this model:
Threads are modeled for Honda/Acura thread pattern of 10Mx1.5. Make sure your printer is dialed in well and print at 0.10 - 0.15mm heights for it to screw on correctly. Check if your printer is calibrated correctly by printing this screw thread calibration test.
Weight -
The shift knob is hollow and you can add pellets to increase weight. I was able to add lead bb's and achieved 300g. I also found that the shortened shift knob didn't seem to benefit much from adding weight because it sits close to the top of the shift lever. I think the standard height version would benefit most from adding more weight since it sits about 3" higher.
Print settings
I plan on adding more thread patterns and possible heat-set insert variations. I tested with heat-set inserts, but they didn't see to add much to the print other than possibly bulging the stem when inserting. Longevity of printed threads are questionable, though, but I don't change shift knobs often.
