This remix combines a Customizable Rolodex with the card clips from the Novel Wallet into a new gift card organizer.
Rolodex Compatibility
Not all Rolodex stands are compatible with all Rolodex cards! If you are printing clips for an existing stand, print a single clip and make sure that it will fit. If it does not, this project comes with a stand that will work.
Printing
- All parts can be printed without supports.
- Clips are printed vertically, which may require a brim
Assembly
Stand assembly is the same as the original. See that video for a complete demonstration.
Gift card clips are intentionally stiff and may take a little effort to attach to the stand. If attaching the clip is too difficult, run the clip under hot water so it becomes pliable long enough to install.
How do I customize this?
This project includes OpenSCAD files. OpenSCAD is a script-based modeling software specifically created for projects like this that need to be customizable.
If you're new to the program, it may look strange at first, but most of the work is just typing values into a form or selecting customization options from a dropdown list. You do not need to know any programming or write a single line code to use OpenSCAD.
Once you've entered everything you need, you can export an STL file for printing. Here's a helpful video that walks through the entire process!
