So I wanted to print the already fine Y improvement, but also wanted to use PSU and LCD in regular configuration so I set out to model those things. After some frustration with OpenSCADs lackluster STL import capabilities and my own inability to edit STEP files, I remodeled everything in OpenSCAD. Time well spent? Dunno but at the end it was quite straightforward so no biggie.
Anyhow, the additions to the originals:
Also as a kind of an experiment, I modeled some custom supports for printing with soluble support material (PVA, BVOH). I printed my parts with white PETG and 3DJake PVA, worked quite well actually. But since the supported parts are underside, the actual benefit isn't that great apart from easier support removal…
I printed the Y-parts on my Tronxy and noticed that it prints slighty skewed. So that in turn results in slightly skewed calibration. No biggie since that's the best I had with the original frame :)
