I created these ends in order to build a budget pull out poles for my Warbonnet SuperFly Hammock Tarp. I used fiberglass driveway markers from my local Menards. I cut the markers to the length I liked and added these ends. I used spring pins to keep the ends on and allow for removal. The pictures tell the remaining details.

Note:

I started with a double pole design, so each pullout has 2 poles. I wasn't sure what strength was going to be required, especially in a strong wind. I plan to alter this into a single fiberglass rod design in the future and test that.

Each assembled pullout with a carabiner weighs around 275grams. Weight wasn't a concern in my situation, but that's about where it is.
