I made it it works great but I’m not using it . Just thinking about all the micro plastic that’s entering my fresh grounded coffee
The idea is there

Awesome design! I just installed it on my Sage Barista Pro machine - the grinder seems to be the same. The only thing I noticed is that you have to turn the ring that locks the hopper button by 180 degrees, so that the long nose points to the front of the machine. Other than that, it works flawlessly and I’m getting great results 🙏

Threading was a bit loose for me so i added some electrical tape for more friction. otherwise great model! (edited)

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but is this design not a problem with the grind setting mechanism?

The grind size is adjusted by moving the whole upper burr assembly up and down (blue arrow), but this mod has a fixed connection (red arrow). So there will be either a gap that allows grinds to be trapped for some settings, and pressure on the burrs for others. In my case the fit is very tight and the motor is audibly struggling. I could reprint with adjustments, but then as I see it a significant gap would be needed to allow for the full range of grind settings, and that beats the purpose of the mod...

Does this make sense or am I missing something completely? 😅

Combined with the slow feed insert.

Printed with Creality PLA, 3 walls and 15% infill.

Found my older Breville does not need the smaller piece for the seal? Also a very very tight fit on the locking piece, needed to sand of the smaller bit to be able to wedge it in with a knife. The threaded parts work quite well but the top where they meet did not come out to well, quite rough and a bit of a gap. Not sure what happened there.

Works great and easy to install. 0.1g or less retention in my experience while using the bellows that Chris recommended below. I could see it being a bit difficult to remove but I haven't tried it so far.
