This is a quick and dirty remix of argoroots smart "MK3 X-motor cable protection" print for the Prusa MINI Z-motor. Not a neccessary upgrade but I wanted a consistend style and I didn't like the Z-motor cables beeing in a sharp bend at the most exposed point of the printer. No need to detach the connector. You can add a cable sleeve for better protection and style. Do not apply too much force to the cable tie.

Print instructions

Others mention it is to tight to fit (depending on material). Just scale it up by 1-2% and it should be fine!

  • Prusament PETG Orange
  • 0.2mm layer height
  • 15-100% infill
  • flat side of the rectangle on the print bed with the protection pointing upwards
  • there is a 90° overhang, which will not print perfectly, but this is quick and dirty and it will be hidden by the cable tie
