Minimalistic design, only 10mm high. Fully printable.

Update 03-11 (Important):

I noticed when printing a larger scaled model that the fits between the parts were too small. As a result, the handle did not fall back completely into the housing. It also appeared that the radii did not fit together correctly at the pivot point between the lever and the base plate. For this I reduced the radius on the base plate a bit. Also, the base plate has been shortened a little bit to give it more space in the housing. Because the handle could ran against the base plate because of the reduced radius, I also gave the bottom of the handle some more space. Finally, the resolution has been refined to create a smoother surface. Please use the updated versions of the STL/Print files! (old files are removed). Drawing is also updated.

How does the lever work?

The model consists of 3 parts: Housing, Handle and Base Plate.

The lever is "hidden" at rest. Thanks to a pivot point that is located far from the center, the lever comes out far out at the other end when pressed on one end. Because both the handle and the base plate are locked by the housing that is pulled from the other side by 2 bolts or screws, a lot of force can be used when pulling without the entire thing falling apart.

There is no spring element, so refitting is done simply by pushing the lever back into the housing. If you place it vertically, make sure that the long side of the handle is down. This will make it fall back on its own.

The design is kind of childproof. Only if you know it is a lever you will try to open it.

Assembly and mounting.

For mounting, 2 holes of Ø4 - 4.5 must be made at a pitch of 93mm (see also the drawing). Bolts or screws of 4mm kan be used. If you use a screw, make the end flat or use one with a flat end, because due to the fact that the height of the model is only 10mm and the beveled design of the visible side, the depth of the holes is only 6mm! If necessary or desired with the use of a bolt, you can pre-tap the holes in the housing with a tap M4. Mounting can be done either horizontally or vertically.

When mounting, you must place the Handle in the Housing, after which you place the Base Plate over it. Now take this whole and place it against the door/drawer. Mount from the rear allowing the house to hold everything else in place.

Printing

Place the Housing with the holes on the bed and use support only on the plate. Make sure to remove all residu from the support in the cut-out for the Handle. You both have to print the Handle and the Base Plate upright over the long side. This gives you a super smooth surface for the pivot point. The handle also looks extra sleek with lines in the longitudinal direction.
