By changing the resolution back down to 55x55 pixels I can actually slice the skull in Simplify3D! Printed fine without any tearing, it was probably due to the way too thin walls at 85x85. It is by default scaled to 88%, the lowest it slices in Simplify3D. Scaling it any further may result in slicing problems or tearing depending on your slicer/printer. The light source needs to be at the northpole of the imaginary sphere the skull is intersected with, I marked it on three pictures. The light should come in a 45° angle to the base of the skull, it is quite fidgety to get it right, I did it with a bare LED chip, a very thin flashlight might also work.
