This is just a placeholder model to allow people to make and post remixes of the panel portion of my “Seasonal Lantern with Interchangeable Panels” which is not set to allow remixes as I am not yet ready to open the frame of the lantern up for remixes at this time.

The blank panel is 103mm by 103mm by 1mm, you can use it if you need to, but I believe it would be easier to start from scratch than by starting with an STL file. When printing at a layer height of .2, you would insert your filament change at layer 3 so as to have two layers of white or translucent followed by 3 layers of opaque filament. I experimented with ironing when making my prototypes, and indeed the Halloween panels seen in the images are ironed, however I have since determined it is not worth the extra time unless you want/need the panels to look as good as possible when scrutinized under good light and with the lantern turned off; once the lantern is on, or in poor light, the ironing doesn't do anything for you and it nearly doubles the print time.

As for making panels, I do my 3d work in an old version of 3ds Max from before Autodesk turned it into a subscription only service. I start by making silhouette images in Photoshop, converting them to a format 3ds Max can import using Illustrator, and set them to a height of .4mm above the bottom of the 1mm panel in 3ds Max; I then use the ProBoolean subtraction method to remove the material they represent from the solid panel.
