An extremely light and confortable face shield that can be printed in less than 40 minutes using the provided gcodes on a MK3/S and that is compatible with stacks.
This face shield has been inspired by the excellent design RC3:MX2 but redesigned from the ground up using Fusion 360 with 3 main goals:
If you own a MK3/S, you can take the provided gcode. The speed and acceleration values are those used in the Prusa own face shield gcodes and are extremely fast. Make sure your printer is in a good shape when using these.
The quality of the stacked face shields greatly depends on your printer. If the stringing is too high, reduce the speeds to 85% for example or reslice using your own values.
If you decide to make you own slicing, set:
Each face shield consumes about 25 g of filament which should make it possible to print 2 beds of 20 in one spool.
The design could seem to be pretty fragile with 2.5 to 3.5 mm thickness but its form allows for a greater flexibility than the original one.
Look under User print files section for all gcodes including the ones for stacked prints.
We are by no means 3d printing professionals. We have started this project to help people around us as we could. Should you have any question about printing the design, ideas of improvements or just want to say Hi, please feel free to contact us using the Prusa Messenger or any other method :-)
We prohibit selling of these face shields for extravagant prices other than 2 times the sum of all bare production costs (material & printer use).
