A PSU shroud for my PC to give it a bit of a visual upgrade.

These parts were designed to fit inside a Bitfenix Shinobi/Shinobi Window case, over the PSU. The parts will only fit if the vertical HDD rack is removed from the case.

The shroud contains chevron style ventilation on the flat section for the PSU inlet fan and several slots on the ramp face to allow air flow to enter the shroud for additional cooling.

Print instructions

I printed the two parts of this model separately with 12% gyroid infill and 2 walls.

The parts are designed to be printed with minimal support. The only support required is on the "shroud" part that should be printed with the chevrons pointing up in the Z direction. Due to the geometry of my computer case there are some cutouts that have created 90 degree overhangs.

The bolt holes have been designed with a single layer thick bridging layer that removes the need for support here and drastically reduces print times.

The ramp part does not need any support at all and printed perfectly with some of the best bridging I've seen in any of my prints. Would definitely recommend making sure your printer can bridge 100mm gaps without sagging to prevent lengthy support.

There are some small holes along the edges of the print which accommodate M3 Ruthex brass inserts. I increased the number of walls here to 5 to make sure the inserts can be fitted securely.

I actually found I could increase print speed to 130% on my Ender3, so the times specified here can be reduced quite a bit
