A case to show off your 3D-printing skills to friends, customers and all people who are not familiar with it.
I love this design of filament swatches https://www.printables.com/de/model/269408-filament-swatches-that-fit-in-a-slide-tray-or-caro from Frederik, and printed more and more of them. I had original slidetray boxes, but I wanted to have a nicer way to show them to people, who are asking me about 3D printing stuff.
Soon the Systainer series came to my mind, and the Systainer Mini T-Loc has the perfect measurements, to fit these swatches.
I remixed this design https://www.printables.com/de/model/123420-festool-systainer-mini-insert from mApe. As a base for Your own inlays for other tools and equipment, you can use these empty ones: https://www.printables.com/de/model/303793-systainer-mini-t-loc-empty-inlay
The Showcase inlays are availabel in two versions, as one whole part, and split in two parts to fit Prusa (and other normal size printers) printbeds (also the Mini).
One side of the swatches inlay can hold up to 66 swatches, so if you print both sides of it - up to 132!
For the right part you can choose between the swatches and the “infill_benchy” part, to display different infill types (14 Hex swatches), and of course two benchys. In the back of this part you can also display a piece of filament, by sticking it into the two chimneys.
You can also combine one half with an empty half from the link above, or design your own. Each half holds in place without the other, so you can also print only one if you like.
For the Hex swatches you can use the one within the files (blank), or other hexagonal swatches like these, with the names marked on the back: https://www.printables.com/de/model/62606-infill-pattern-sample-hexagon-collection , but You have to scale them to 10 mm hight and 50 mm width (between the parallel sides)!
I highly recommend printing and using the Top inlay, so all parts are tightly secured in place, when the box is closed. For further details see: https://www.printables.com/de/model/294837-top-inlay-for-t-loc-systainer-mini
Printing instructions:
I recommend using a 0.4 nozzle, because all walls are designed for 0.4 nozzles, so they are 0.8 or 1.2 mm thick.
No support needed. I used PETG, 0.2 mm layerhight. Infill doesnt really matter.
I hope You like this Showcase as much as I do! I´m looking forward for Your feedback! :D
