Maghex Magnet Recess Modifier (3x3)

Negative volume modifier to turn any model into a Maghex compatible model using 3x3 magnets. This modifier allows for easy insertion into any model.

Steps for usage:

NOTE: Steps given for PrusaSlicer.

1. Add the model you wish to modify for this example I chose the 2 hex boulder from thingiverse.
2. If using a multi hex object it is best to import a maghex base with centermag for alignment. Add them as new parts and align them at the edges. I used my remix for this example. UPDATE: I uploaded the “Multihex Base.3mf” so that this step and alignment can be done easier.

3. Add this magnet recess modifier as a negative volume and align them with the holes in the maghex bases (for this example I did it 2x as I have two recesses to create).

4. Delete to the maghex bases.
