2022-11-10 Added smaller ball versions for shifter to reduce weight as well as smaller screw, ball diameter choice is 40(S), 50(M) or 60(L)mm; I now advise putting aluminium foil in the shifter body between the shat and the switches to ensure the lever activates the switches correctly, and it improves stiffness too
2022-09-06 Update added extended base for more buttons
This is my design for a sequential shifter for simracing

The lever extensions clamp around the bought levers and are fixed with m3 screws and nuts.
Shifter extension is in 4 parts: 2 shaft parts that clamp together with M3 screws, a printed m16x2 screw, and a ball, the screw is used to connect the ball to the shaft.
Base accomodates M4 nuts for fixation, added a version without sidewalls for convenience.
Only base printing needs supports, if overhangs angle are not a problem you can just print it on the 3 button side against the bed and use support only on edges to help support the weight for version with walls, or print sideways for version without walls, holes for the buttons should come out alright
Rafts:
No
Supports:
No
Resolution:
0.2mm or less
Infill:
base and screw 25%, levers 10%, ball grid 1%
Filament:AMZ3D PLA White
Notes:
If lever extensions are too loose, you can add thin paper in the clamp to hold lever tighter
Print the ball with 2 walls for perimeter and 5% infill with triangle infill it works great this allows to minimise weight and therefore passive torque on lever while being able to print the top of the ball.
Base is printed with 3 perimeter walls
