Used it in combination with the cord lock for a shoelace replacement.
The 3.5 mm version fits well with two 2 mm cords.

Hi @jack, thanks for the version with closed top. It looks great.
Printed from PETG with brim for clamping part.
I was opening the clamping insert very carefully to avoid breaking apart. (Yes, it's stiffer). A toothpick helped me shifting a string to the end. And then I pressed both parts together. Nice.
Probably easiest assembly (from what I tried) is original design with cut ring. But the closed top model looks better and is just a little harder to assemble. :-)
Closed-top version is my favorite. Thanks.

@Milos thanks for the feedback, confirms my findings. If you don't want multiple beads or a tassel at the end the closed version looks best, but also the closed end prevent that part from compression and to be moved further in - so having the right diameter is more crucial.
Thanks for the model. Works great - fits well!
What about having clamping part joined on the wider end? I had difficulties getting it on the rubber string due to too small hole.

Hi @Milos thank you,
the smaller ones can be opened, and if that is not enough just cut the base ring connection open too, The wider end doesn't have a wider hole just the edging is bigger so it compresses equally over the hole length. And the wider end is sturdier so i used the small one to allow more deformation, also because of the internal detents it can't be printed upside down well due to the overhang.
Wrap the end with a thin thread to thread through and pull can also help. (edited)
@Milos I have added 2 versions with connection at the top - this may be not ideal for printing as this need now to be bridged as you can't print it upside down, but you don't need to pull the string through the opening so this might be easier - thank you for the suggestion! (let me know if it works if you try these)
