Stargate Puzzle
This has many similarities to my previous Stargate Puzzle - but this is completely NEW!
The frame has been made larger to accomodate more pieces (and more detail). The puzzle includes 50 pieces. I designed it to be tough - and it is. I will be creating another set of pieces for the same frame - this second set will be likely 38 pieces (for the 38 minute Stargate limit).
I sliced mine to allow 2 colors for the pieces - that at least allows you to know which side is up.
Let's take a look at the printing…
The Frame
I printed my frame in multi-colors with PLA (no MMU needed). I have included a pre-sliced file to make it easier (of course you can print it solid as well).

The Puzzle Pieces
I printed my parts in two sets. Pieces 01-25 & 26-50. They have been placed on the slicer randomly, so that the printed objects will not clue you in for the solution.

I also printed the pieces in two colors to allow a face-up or face down solution.

The individual parts have been included, along with a zip file of all the parts

Designing the Puzzle
The puzzle and frame were drawn using autocad, a dxf file was created, and imported into Fusion 360. The frame and parts were then manipulated and extruded to make them 3D. In order to leave enough room for the parts to interlock, I provided .2 mm between parts. If you would like more information on how I did this, let me know.
