It bothered me that the cabling of the laser module on the Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro was sagging. Sometimes the (lighter) material placed under the laser was touched by this and shifted.
Therefore I constructed a cable support for the OLM 2 Pro. The connecting cable now rests on this support and the working area of the laser always remains free :-))
Since the cable support is about 50 cm long, I had to split it (left + right) because otherwise it would not have fit on my 3D printer.
I then glued the two parts together with the connector and super glue.
The support is fixed with one M3x6 and one M3x10 screw.
I attached the cable holder to the laser module carriage with two M8 nuts.
The connecting cable was fixed with cable ties.
Update 1 03 Dec 2022
Since I now use a self-constructed AirAssist system for my Ortur, I have changed the cable support (now version v2):
First, bottom and side walls are 2mm thick (instead of 1mm) to make them more stable.
On the other hand I put a middle wall to separate electric cable and air hose when moving.
Of course, you can use the modified cable support without any AirAssist.
Update 2 28 Sep 2023
Both cable supports (left + right; now version v3) are slightly modified for better fit. They are minimally shorter with oval holes on the sides.
I have constructed a more stable connector_v3. My cable support with the old connector_v2 had bent downwards in the middle over time (due to the movement of the cable and air hose). I fixed the new connector_v3 in the middle under both cable supports with superglue; the 4 holes should match.
