Motor Cover for Delta Power Compound Miter Saw Model 36-075

This model provides a replacement for a broken or missing motor cover on a Delta Compound Miter Saw. It works on model 36-075 and possibly others with similar shaped motor.

I own this miter saw, and many years ago I broke off the plastic motor cover. I tried gluing it back together but that only held for a few days and it broke off again. I pretty much just left it off and avoided being close to that area, seeing the electrical sparks deep within the motor when the saw was running. I set the broken cover aside and eventually it got lost in time. Years later, once I got my own 3D Printer, I started designing a replacement. It took some time, with me printing test prints to make sure I recorded the size of everything well and making sure it would fit right. It is kind of a complex shape to accurately measure and reproduce, but I eventually got something that works. It is a bit different than the original, but should still work well.

I printed this model in PETG because the saw is stored in my normally hot garage and the motor running could heat the cover as well.

It requires the three original screws that held the original cover on the motor.
