The lid and timer knob on my circa 1990 Braun Coffee Grinder broke and, even though it is very loud, I did not want to part with it. So, I created these 3D printed repair parts that both served as replacements for the lid and knob and also (partly) solved the noise problem. It is still a tad loud, but much quieter than before.
The silencer parts (cap, body, base) should be printed with TPU flexible filament, and I used 0.3mm slice thickness for these. For added convenience, I added a slot on the cap to hold a measuring spoon to scoop the beans.
The replacement knob and scoop were printed with PETG filament using 0.2mm slice thickness.
I know there may not be many Braun 4045 grinders out there, but the concept of a grinder-silencer is unique and probably applicable to lots of other grinders out there.
