I created this filter adapter because I recently converted my old Canon G12 to view full spectrum light (using this tutorial: https://www.lifepixel.com/tutorials/infrared-diy-tutorials/canon-powershot-g12-ir )
I did not want to fully commit to the conversion so I did not replace the infrared cut filter with an infrared pass filter, so I need to use one externally. That's where this thing comes in. Since I already own a wide range of 77mm filters I decided to design this adapter to mount on the accessory flange of the G12.
This mount should fit snuggly and even click into place with the locking tab. I've added a locating dimple to help line up the adapter. You will need a 62-77mm step-up ring filter adapter to complete this, or I suppose you could even use 62mm filters if you have them. I used the filter adapter though to create a nice smooth way of transitioning from 3D printed plastic to the fine threads of the filters.
This is the step-up adapter that I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002ER2OQ/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_E1GzCbSB0600V
There is one small problem of vignetting when zoomed all the way out, I have included a file that will accept a 72-77mm adapter.
