This exists because I am procrastinating on making progress with python, Linux and learning to better utilise my pis.  I have driven this around my house using a pi & Adafruit motor hat like a little FPV car, controlling it from my PC, and played around with servos for a pan tilt cam setup and stuff, but haven't really made anything I'd consider finished yet.

Decided to CAD a better top plate first, then added a middle tray for stowing LiPo batteries etc, and mocked up the base as well, because everything I do, I learn new things.

The stock metal plate top level has a weird hole arrangement that doesn't neatly fit a pi, so I made this one based on the hole pattern of the Pimoroni Phat stack, which has pi spaced holes for hats etc.  I've added holes for the motor and other cables to pass through levels.

The cam and distance sensor mount sandwiches between levels, which is pretty handy, I use an Adafruit CSI/DSI extender to connect the camera for assembly and disassembly.  This only fits with the minimal or no middle level, not with the full profile middle level.

There's two middles, one uses the full profile, so more space, but is a longer print, the other is cut down.

There's two tops, one has hexagons cut out of it, because, they are the bestagons, and I figured that might help add some rigidity to the finished plate, although when screwed down it is pretty solid regardless.

Not sure how common this chassis is, but thought I'd put it out there just in case.

Mine is tested and printed in PETG, as that's my bulk go to filament.
