This simple handle grip was printed in yellow TPU as a handle grip for a lead hammer I recently made. It was designed to be printed in TPU, and simply slides onto a 0.5" diameter metal rod. It should work as a handle grip for other tools as well.

The print can be scaled up or down a bit to fit different diameter rods, and a small test print is provided to verify the scale setting. A firm (but not tight) fit is recommended.

If you want to know more about the lead hammer, see this link :

Print Instructions

Print in TPU using the 3mf file provided; in general :

  • 0.3mmm layer height
  • perimeters = 2
  • infill = 10% adaptive cubic

The above print parameters will give you a grip with a somewhat “squishy” feel (it feels a bit like a padded grip). For a more solid grip, increase the infill percentage.
