40mm male side-release buckle (Quechua/Decathlon)

Replacement male side-release buckle for Quechua/Decathlon backpacks with a 40mm belt.

This specific buckle was found on a “Quechua Bionassay 22” backpack, but will likely fit several other backpacks using the same design.

The code on the original buckle reads:

• male ITW NEXUS/A WSR=40
• female ITW NEXUS/A DWSR=40

This model takes some design concessions in order to be a printable but functionally equivalent replacement. Print settings are important for correct results: I'm attaching a PrusaSlicer 2.5 3mf model with the necessary adjustments.

You'll want to print this using a material with some flexibility. PLA won't last long. PETG results in comparable strength and stiffness to the original and didn't show signs of wear after 3 months of daily use. Update: PETG print still working like new after 1 year of daily use.
