Vertical Clamp Adapter

Simple adapter to mount clamp style mounts to vertical surfaces, when there is no horizontal surface to attach the actual clamp to. I used this to mount my bed light to my IKEA nightstand, which has no horizontal location to attach to.

Prints as a single piece. For stability reasons I print this laying on the side with supports to avoid stressing the final product in the direction of the layers. If your intended load is light, printing this “face down” will avoid supports completely.

To mount the adapter it uses 4x 4mm Woodscrews (4mm is approx. a #7 or #8 Wood Screw for our american friends ;-) ).

Dimensions

The clamping surface is 80mm wide at the top and 60mm wide at the bottom side, due to the reinforcement ribs. Maximum clamping dept is 45mm.
