This is a screen mount for the BigTreeTech Pi TFT50 touch screen. This mount is designed to be used with the Raspberry Pi directly mounted to the back minimising cable mess. This screen is superb as it powers from the Raspberry pi directly using the included ribbon cable and best of all - plug and play. There are no drivers/software that need to be installed!

The mount attaches to the side of the leg where the original screen is mounted. It uses 3x M3 hex screw (same used to mount the original screen) and 3 x Nuts Fasteners. The screen mounts completely screwless so there is no need to melt embedment nuts!

Assembly

Once the 2 parts have been printed (Screen Mount & Screen Frame) Its time to assemble.

  1. I would recommend to mount the Raspberry Pi to the screen with using the included screws that came with the screen.
  2. The short ribbon cable fits perfectly as shown in image 3.
  3. Fix the Screen Frame over the TFT50 screen - its a little tight but that is on purpose as I do not want this loose.
  4. The BTT Pi TFT50 screen will need to be mounted upside down (yes that is correct) in the printed screen mount since its better to have the USB ports pointing to the left.
  5. Slowly push the frame into the screen mount. Again this is a little tight but once in its solid.
  6. IF the screen display appears upside down when you power on, there is a small switch next to the screen brightness dial. Flip that and the screen is rotated 180 degrees.
  7. ENJOY!

As requested, modifications have been made to mount the screen on the left side of the printer. I have also moved the screen up by 2cm - this is to give better clearance from the Pi to the 4040 extrusion.
