The wood on my original marking gauge had started to dry out and the joint became loose, so I remade it. Recommend printing it in its current orientation to allow the handle and the face to be connected via layer lines. Also, sanded the face with high grit (400) sandpaper to ensure smooth and flat surface.
The marking gauge accepts M6 hardware (the nut fits into a recess located on the underside of the opening.
I have looked for everywhere for replacement blades, and the only way I have found them is to buy a new wooden marking gauge just for the blades. Though, I suppose with the right knowledge they could be fabricated.
