I´ve used my Symfonisk remote always without the holder, since ive used it on a magnetic plate. Now I decided to mount the remote under my desk and couldn´t find the holder anymore, so I decided to design my own replacement.
Its mounted with 4 to 5 screws to any surface you want and the remote is held in place by the center screw, which for me was magnetic. But for extra strong holding power, i would recommend to omit the center screw and glue in a magnet with 8mm width instead.
I include the .step file for modification, because I made it so tall so my screws dont poke through the table surface, so that you can adjust it to your needs.
Also, since the screwhead of my available screws was 8mm wide, I included the countersunk holes with 8mm with and depth of 5mm. If you need to adjust that, feel free to do so.
The edge is designed to not interfere with the remote´s top, so that there is no rubbing. The small lip of the edge was my idea, to have a reference when putting the remote back into place while blindfolded.
I´ve printed mine out of eSUN ePLA-Matte black which is a difficult material, since its layer adhesion simply sucks, but for this print its working. Layer hight is 0.2mm, I´ve printed with 3 shells but more wouldnt hurt. For infill I used 20% Lightning for faster prototyping, but I would recommend cubic and if you need, like 30% infill.
