When I was a child, 60 years ago, my GrandMother had a lamp made for her by a WWI veteran. It was made out of wood. When you pushed down the pump lever this pulled the chain that caused the lamp to light. It was so neat.

This is a recreation of that lamp that now you too can experience the action and charm of the design of the lamp. I have seen variations in this style of lamp over the years but the main thing was they were not commercially available and every one was usually hand made

Parts neededL

1 pull chain socket 

1 lamp cord with ac plug

1 lamp pipe with 2 nuts

bulb to fit socket (incandecent or LED)

lamp shade hoop with shade retainer nut

 

assembly: pipe through pumpbody and base , and secured with nuts each end leaving thread for shade hoop and socket to attach, socket with pull chain extends to pump lever and goes into pump lever. pumplever  socket on side pump and pin in to pump for lever. cord attach to lamp socket
