Ikea Billy Bookcase Joiner

My two Billy bookcases, annoyingly, would not stay together so I made a simple bracket to hold them to each other. The brackets stay in place through friction and the fit can be made tighter by adding folded paper behind the bracket. You might prefer to make a few of these if your units are particularly heavy as they are not designed to be ‘heavy duty’ and you can remix this to add screw holes to keep them in place, a hook for the front face or anything else you like.

I have also added a similar bracket for Ikea Kallax units (my floor must be uneven!).
