Popular Yoyo

A blast for the past. I was a bit nostalgic for my childhood and remembered a popular yoyo similar to this one. This yoyo is great fun (and the cats like it too.) All you will need is this print some 6.35mm or ¼" dowell, some yoyo string and your all set. There a 3 sizes 57mm, 60mm and 66mm just print 2 of the same size and your go to go.

I used ¼" diameter steel tubing for this. I cut it at 15.9mm or 5/8"  long and used a vise  to gently bring the two halves together. 

You may want to play around with different types of string, but I like cotton. 

Printing:

Layer Height = 25mm

Infill = I like 40-60 for heft depending on the size 40 for the 66m and 60 for the 57mm and a rectilinear is fine. 

Parimiters = 4 or 5 ar good 

Surface Pattern = I like “Archimedean Chords” as it makes a nice pattern on round objects

You can also print in multiple colors to spice you the look of your Yoyo. Choose one of the 3 different sizes 57mm, 60mm and 66mm. You can choose plain or with the size printed or do one size plain and the other with the size text in cm.

The axle in this model is mainly for reference, I like metal or wood for the axle
